Smile Designing

Smile Designing or Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They can be used to treat cosmetic concerns like chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth.

Smile Designing is a great option if you have:

Procedure

First Appointment

Veneers Consultation Appointment

The first step in getting a new set of veneers is consultation. we take this time to sit down and discuss the goals each patient is looking for with their new set of veneers. The next step is called a mock-up, which is a series of images the dentist will create to show the patient what the results will look like. We make sure to spend considerable time on these representations to ensure the patients will receive the best care and get the desired results.

Veneers Procedure Appointment

The day of the procedure, the dentist will buff each tooth to create a space for the veneer to adhere to and not impede the patient’s bite. Then a putty mould is created of the teeth with that layer of enamel removed. This mould is sent to a lab for the veneer preparation.

Temporary veneers are prepared and applied while the patient waits for the lab to create the permanent ones.

Second Appointment

In this appointment, we conduct a smile trial. We show you how your smile will look when the treatment ends. We also answer all your concerns and make space for your inputs about the smile.

Once the Patient and doctor are happy with the trail we go ahead with the permanent cementation of it.

Getting Use to Your New Veneers

There is virtually no downtime when getting porcelain veneers and at the most, but you need to come see your dentist for regular follow ups. Other than that, patients are ready to flash their new pearly white teeth for all to see. Porcelain veneers tend to last ten years and have been known to last much longer.

FAQ

There may be a lot of queries in your mind, we have tried to answer quite a few of them, below:

  • What is the difference between smile designing and conventional dentistry?

A specialist area of dentistry called “smile designing” works to improve a patient’s smile’s aesthetic appeal. In contrast to conventional dentistry, which focuses mostly on oral health concerns, smile designing blends dental knowledge with artistic components to produce a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing grin.

  • What problems can smile designing help with, and who makes a good candidate?

Smile designing is appropriate for those who want to change the way their teeth seem and are unhappy with the way their smile looks. Teeth that are discolored or stained, uneven or misaligned, have gaps between them, or have problems with their size or form are among the common problems that are treated. Moreover, candidates can be worried about the general symmetry.

  • What steps are usually taken in the grin designing process, and how much time does it take?

A variety of individualized cosmetic dental treatments may be used in smile designing. Gum contouring, dental bonding, veneers, orthodontic operations, and teeth whitening are common forms of therapy. The complexity of the situation and the particular treatments required determine how long the grin designing procedure takes. Certain operations can be finished in a single visit, while others might need to be done over many weeks in numerous sessions.
